Most Internet service providers like Glo, MTN, Aitel and Etisalat lock their USB modems to their respective networks. This means that the modems can only be used on their networks.
This is usually very frustrating as one would be required to have or purchase the modems of the different networks just to use the internet.

Today I want to show you how you can unlock you modem so that it will work with any network (Glo, MTN, Etisalat and Airtel).
To unlock your modem Huawei, ZTE etc, you will need a modem unlocker software.
There are various ways of going about this.
1. Using the Online Unlock Key Generator found here
To unlock your modem on this site is simple.
Just enter your modem’s IMEI, enter the CAPTCHA code and click on the “Calculator” button.
The calculator will return you with your modem’s unlock code and flash code.
The supported Huawei modem models include:

The Huawei Unlocker is another simple and straight forward free unlock code generator. Enter your modem’s IMEI, hit the “Unlock” button and the unlock and flash codes are calculated and displayed for you. Here the Unlock code is the one starting with Nck: while the flash code is self explanatory.
3. Using the Universal Mastercode Unlocker.
The Universal MasterCode unlocks a variety of modems such as ZTE, Huawei, LG, Nokia and VK. It can unlock an infinite number of times and there is no limit. Just down load and use. Type in the IMEI and hit”Calculate”. The codes are calculated for you. Simple and straightforward.
How to Unlock The Modem with The Unlock Code
To make use of the unlock code you have use an unauthorized sim card to your Huawei modem. Unauthorized sim card meaning sim card from any operators other than the one the modem is currently locked to.
When you do so, you would be prompt for the modem’s unlock code. Just enter the unlock code you have received earlier and the modem will be unlocked.
Then you can use your Huawei USB modem with sim cards from any other operator.
